Airam, Inc was founded in 1965 to produce the Airam Line of pneumatic presses.
Today’s Airam presses offer high performance, low maintenance alternatives to mechanical, hydraulic and air cylinder presses for most applications.
The Airam press operates on a unique design concept. The press uses no hydraulic fluid system, clutch driven mechanism or air cylinder. In the Airam press, force is applied through an elastomeric air tube that drives the ram. A solenoid valve controls the flow of compressed air into the air tube. The air tube expands, and forces the ram down. When the solenoid is de-energized, the air is exhausted and springs return the ram to its original position.
Since the press has only one moving section, operating costs are reduced. Routine maintenance is required only on the bushing and guide pin arrangement. All Airam presses are manufactured in the United States.
